Toronto Centre is deeply saddened by the passing of Simon Boas, Executive Director, Jersey Overseas Aid (JOA) Commission. He passed away on July 15, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Simon had an illustrious career in international development that spanned the roles of grantee and grantor. In his eight years at JOA, he transformed the organization. JOA’s reputation as a donor in the fields of Conservation Livelihoods, Dairy for Development, and Financial Inclusion are testament to Simon’s vision and remarkable ability at forging the right relationships. Toronto Centre is forever grateful for his support of our mission.
