Bridging the Blended Finance Gap: What Role for Supervisors and Regulators?

On April 18, 2024, Toronto Centre convened a meeting, on the margins of the IMF/World Bank Group Spring Meetings, to explore the topic of blended finance from the standpoint of financial supervisors and regulators. Participants in the roundtable discussion included governors and heads of supervisory authorities from both developing and developed countries, along with senior representatives of development finance organizations and international financial institutions.

The purpose was to explore how their organizations have responded to the emergence of blended finance as a tool to increase investments that support sustainable development goals.
